Heya You came to my school today. I really enjoyed the workshop. Thanks for coming in. I just wanted to ask when your out in the town centre where you live or in the counrtyside does anything give you any ideas for the book e.g if you see a lady in say primark carrying a million and 1 shopping bags and it gives you the idea for the grass waving about trying to snap at peoples legs? I hope you think my question is good. I really wanted to ask in asembly this morning but i am really shy and i am new to alban middle school. Ok Thanks again for coming in i really enjoyed the work shop. I am definatly going gto buy ur book. Cya From Gemma, Alban C of E middle school

Wow, I do think that's a good question. I live in the countryside now, but was in London till quite recently. I think the crowds and energy in London did give me ideas for the Constantinople section of my second book, Bloodline Rising, but when writing about the countryside I just let my imagination take me there – I didn't make the connection between a city and the countryside as you have done in your wonderful description above. But everyone's mind works differently!
