  1. Hello Katy, I was glad to meet you on Thursday, albeit it briefly and while we were being asked to sign things. Reading other people's stuff while I am writing is death to me - I either get very depressed or spend the next several pages of my own writing a pastiche of theirs. But I like the sound of Bloodline very much, and it is already on the 'to read pile' for when I am done. Hope the Bloodline Rising does well. very best regards Jeremy de Quidt

  2. Hi Katy, I am presently writing a children's novel with an historical background - how did you go about researching for your story and how indepth did you go? I'm ordering Bloodline from Amazon and looking forward to reading it. Regards, Jane W, West Yorks

  3. Hi Katy, Well...this isn't really a question... I am 18 years old, and unfortunately running out of books in the young adult section of my library. Even though I want every book I pick up to be amazing, I'm often disappointed. However, by the prologue of Bloodline, which I just happened to pick up, I was hooked. You do not know how happy I've been to find a perfect blend of 'ancient' British historical fiction and espionage. I have enjoyed your book so very much, and I just thought you may want to know that you have brought me an excellent reading experience! Well written, brilliantly plotted with twists I never expected, and endearing characters! I like to write - I hope to someday be a published novelist :) - and just wanted to thank you for writing such an amazing book. I'm so glad to hear that there is a sequel; I CAN'T wait! melody, tx

  4. Hi Ya Katy, I'v just finished your book Bloodline and was looking for the next one to find out what happens to Essa and Lark, but you havn't done one why not ? it's a great story and you'v got the rest of there lives to fill in, c'mon don't keep us in suspence. Very best regards Ian Littlejohn

  5. I would like to buy a copy of Bloodline for my daughter, but always like to try and get books signed by the author. When are you next doing a signing and where please? Matthew Robbins

  6. Dear Katy, I am writing from the children's newspaper First News. Would we please be able to get a link to our site on your links section and a hyperlink where our name is mentioned on our review of your book? Kindest regards, Nic Williams Website Editor

  10. Hi Katy :) It was really nice to have you in our school today! I am a budding writer myself; how could I let become better at this? I am going up to Upper School in September; any ideas on what options to take to help me continue to do something in English. (Maybe a author, English teacher. These are what I would like to do) Please could you remind me of your Facebook page as well.

  11. Heya You came to my school today. I really enjoyed the workshop. Thanks for coming in. I just wanted to ask when your out in the town centre where you live or in the counrtyside does anything give you any ideas for the book e.g if you see a lady in say primark carrying a million and 1 shopping bags and it gives you the idea for the grass waving about trying to snap at peoples legs? 12. Hi Katy. Was just looking back at your website. You gave a workshop to my year 7 class on Thursday afternoon. I forgot to ask you a question on Thursday. You have a link on your website to a Shaolin website. I'm curious to know the link. Do you practice a martial art like kung fu? Or is it more of an interest or fascination as a writer in oriental culture? Kind regards, Paul.
